Secondary Transfer and Transfer Test Arrangements

This information is for parents applying for a secondary school place for their child in September 2027 and  for those considering the Secondary Transfer Test (11+) in September 2026.

Key Reminders:

  • Taking the test is not compulsory for children in Buckinghamshire primary schools. Parents register their email address to receive their child’s test result or choose to withdraw their child from the test.  Parents received personalised letters with this information in March.

  • Parents, please speak with Mrs Phillips or Mrs Davey if you would like to discuss potential access arrangements for sitting the Secondary Transfer Test. The deadline is the 1st June. Please note that access arrangements are not guaranteed and require evidence such as reading ages, standardised scores and academic levels as well as any external reports from professionals e.g. medical reasons such as severe physical, visual or mental impairment.
